Backgammon Board > Backgammon Board Layout
The game backgammon always requires two players. If you haven't seen a backgammon board layout before, it is separated into two tables by a bar at the center. The most noticeable part in the backgammon board layout is the presence of long triangles with alternating colors, usually black and white. These triangles are called points. When you play backgammon, you will make use of these points to position your checkers. Each player should have 15 checkers each, depending on the color of your choice. In total, you will need 30 checkers in a basic backgammon board layout. Backgammon online, on the other hand, does not need any set up whatsoever of course. When you play backgammon over the internet, every backgammon piece is turned into graphics, meaning, once you login, everything is already prepared for you. This state of the art online game will be your virtual backgammon table. The same rules apply and layout has not been changed so no need to worry about confusion. Most players actually prefer playing online because it saves them so much time to just login or register and no set up is required unlike the classic backgammon table. In online backgammon, everything is already prepared for you once you're in.
