Backgammon Game > Backgammon Game Rules
Backgammon game rules are quite easy. The white and red players take turns rolling the dice move their checkers around the game board. Move all your checkers into your "Home" area and once all your checkers are in your Home area, you can start bearing them off (removing) them from the board. If you remove all your checkers before your opponent does, you win the match.
One of the backgammon game rules a player must also know is that the checkers can only move in one direction. The direction of your checkers will depend on the colour you are playing. White ones move clockwise, while the red checkers move counter clockwise. Other backgammon game rules must know – backgammon is usually played for stakes.
