Backgammon Rules of Play > Backgammon Scoring
The main objective in backgammon scoring is to be the first in removing all the checkers from the board while the opponent still has checkers on the bar or in his home board. If one succeeds in backgammon scoring, he wins thrice the value of the doubling cube.
Scoring a gammon is another version of backgammon scoring. This is similar to backgammon. The only difference is that the opponent wasn't able to remove any checkers from his own board. The player wins double the amount of stakes shown on the doubling cube in this case.
Backgammon scoring is not as easy as it sounds. A player needs to take risks for this strategy to work. But some of strategies don't work and the player is forced to make a quick decision on his next gaming strategy. And as with online backgammon, a successful play requires a combination of skill and luck.
