In the board game of backgammon, it is very helpful for a player to know and learn the terms and slangs. If you are a beginner, you must know and learn the basic backgammon terms so you can play the game with ease. Some of these terms will refer to position, strategy, or other aspects in the game. One of the backgammon terms you will encounter is anchor, which is used when two or more checkers occupy a same point on the board. When playing backgammon online, you will also encounter the term bear off. This refers to removing of the checkers from the board, thus winning the game.
